Mike Eldred was the Custom Shop Director for Fender from 1996 to 2013, putting this guitar near the end of his time with Fender. This guitar is certainly a good farewell to time spent with the team. It is extremely resonant and playable. The fine attention to aspects like fret ends, aged finish and pickup choice leave us with an instrument that is sure to impress. The tuners have been replaced with Schallers, jack cup is replaced along with the saddles. All of the original parts are in the case. This Telecaster sings and is noticeably a Masterbuilt instrument. The 50's beefy neck is incredible and keeps the mojo alive. An all black finish with matching pickguard makes the guitar standout without imposing visually. Overall, this is a stellar instrument fit for any Telecaster lover.
